Riley Jacobsen slams two goals, Brookings Rangers PWB strong on D to get the shutout victory

In a shutout, Brookings Rangers PWB overcame Watertown Lakers PWB 7 - zero at Brookings Red on Saturday. Brookings Rangers PWB tallied up three straight goals to take the lead in the first period. Brookings Rangers PWB added three goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Watertown Lakers PWB's fate was sealed. In the final period Brookings Rangers PWB scored one goal sealing the deal and winning the game.

Brookings Rangers PWB's Riley Jacobsen got two goals for Brookings Rangers PWB. Brookings Rangers PWB's Jacobsen lit the lamp with 0:29 left in the first period. Carter Shoup assisted on this goal. Brookings Rangers PWB turned up the pressure when Jacobsen put the biscuit into the net with 12:35 left in the second period with an assist from Joel Syrstad. Brookings Rangers PWB's Austin Lesnar made two goals for Brookings Rangers PWB. Paving the way for Brookings Rangers PWB, Lesnar put the puck in the net with 13:16 left in the first period with an assist from Kaden Vugteveen. With 11:31 left to play in the second period Lesnar put the puck between the pipes with an assist from Jack Mccarty. During the third period, with 6:58 left Lesnar put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance for a shorthanded goal.

Leading the way to a shutout for Brookings Rangers PWB, Royal Grindeland III turned away six shots. Watertown Lakers PWB's Jared Fedt had just 12 saves on 18 shots.

Brookings Rangers PWB continued their current win streak of three games and now has a perfect record of 7-0. Watertown Lakers PWB finished the game with a record of 3-5.
