Kaden Vugteveen shines with a hat trick as Brookings Rangers PWB scores two goals in the first, goes on to get a victory

Brookings Rangers PWB won against Watertown Lakers PWB 7 - 2 at Brookings Blue on Sunday. Brookings Rangers PWB tallied up two goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Both teams scored two goals in the second period but Brookings Rangers PWB held on to the lead for the win. Watertown Lakers PWB's fate was sealed. In the final period Brookings Rangers PWB scored three goals padding its lead and winning the game.

Leading the way to a win for Brookings Rangers PWB, Kaden Vugteveen earned the hat trick with three goals and also had one assist. With 14:19 left to play in the first period Vugteveen netted a goal with an assist from Austin Lesnar. During the second period, with 12:30 left Vugteveen lit the lamp. Austin Lesnar and Alex Kuck got the assists on this goal. During the third period, with 3:08 left Vugteveen lit the lamp without assistance. Brookings Rangers PWB's Evan Becher got two goals for Brookings Rangers PWB. Getting started, Becher put the puck between the pipes with 14:09 left in the third period with an assist from Alec Nielson. During the third period, with 0:10 left Becher put the biscuit over the goal line with assists from Carter Shoup and Sajen Perry.

Having a standout day, Brookings Rangers PWB's Royal Grindeland III had 22 saves on 24 shots to take the win, despite being outshot 24 to seven by Watertown Lakers PWB. In goal, Watertown Lakers PWB's Jared Fedt blocked no shots allowing seven goals against Watertown Lakers PWB for the loss.

Brookings Rangers PWB added to their current win streak of four games and now has a unblemished record of 8-0. Watertown Lakers PWB ended the game with a record of 3-5.
