Brookings Rangers PWB outscored Mitchell Marlins PWB three to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Brookings Rangers PWB gained four goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Mitchell Marlins PWB added one goal in the third period but it was not enough to win the game.

Coming through for Brookings Rangers PWB, Vugteveen lit the lamp without assistance for a shorthanded goal with 2:03 left in the first period.
