Jade Chasing Hawk is leader with a hat trick while Brookings Rangers GV shines on offense to get the shutout win

In a shutout game, Brookings Rangers GV defeated Rushmore Thunder GV 13 - 0 at Larson Ice Center on Saturday. Brookings Rangers GV chalked up seven goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Brookings Rangers GV gained six straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Brookings Rangers GV never looked back. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Brookings Rangers GV held on to its lead, and was the winner.

Leading the way to a win for Brookings Rangers GV, Jade Chasing Hawk made the hat trick with four goals in addition to two points. With 13:38 left to play in the first period Chasing Hawk scored a goal. Hallie Theodosopoulos assisted on this goal. During the first period, with 9:11 left Chasing Hawk put the puck in the net with assists from Lexi Koenig and Ashley Rennich. With 15:10 left to play in the second period Chasing Hawk put the biscuit into the net. Ashley Rennich assisted on this goal. With 4:57 left to play in the second period Chasing Hawk put the puck in the net for a power play goal with an assist from Lexi Koenig. Having an outstanding day for Brookings Rangers GV, Hallie Theodosopoulos made the hat trick with three goals as well as two points. During the first period, with 16:44 left Theodosopoulos netted a goal with assists from Sierra Winter and Jade Chasing Hawk. With 11:12 left to play in the first period Theodosopoulos scored a second goal with an assist from Sierra Winter. Next, Theodosopoulos scored a third goal with 7:39 left in the second period. Lacey Lynn assisted on this goal.

Having a perfect day, Brookings Rangers GV's Devyn Prodoehl had seven saves to earn the win. Rushmore Thunder GV's Anna Veazey had only 44 saves on 57 shots on goal for the loss.

Brookings Rangers GV ended up with a record of 11-1. Rushmore Thunder GV ended the game with a record of 5-9.
