Anthony (Michael) Petrotto golden with two goals while Rushmore Thunder BV scores two goals in the first, goes on to get the narrow win

In a tightly contested game, Rushmore Thunder BV handed a loss to Watertown Lakers BV 4 - 2 at Rushmore Thunderdome on Saturday. Rushmore Thunder BV tallied up two goals to take the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Rushmore Thunder BV retained its lead. Both teams scored two goals in the third period but Rushmore Thunder BV kept the lead for the win.

In the first period, Rushmore Thunder BV's Anthony (Michael) Petrotto netted a goal with an assist from TJ (Tyler) Nolan with 12:28 left in the period. In addition, Mark Petereit scored a goal without any assistance with 3:22 left on the clock, pulling further ahead. In the third period, coming through for Watertown Lakers BV, Colton Jordan got a goal with an assist from Jamison Spiering, with 10:17 left in the period. Rushmore Thunder BV's Anthony (Michael) Petrotto put the puck between the pipes with 3:41 left in the period. Brooks Mitzel and TJ (Tyler) Nolan assisted on the goal, to go further ahead. Watertown Lakers BV's Mike Steska put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance with 1:29 left in the period. Rushmore Thunder BV's Alec Ryman scored a goal without any assistance, with 0:20 left on the clock, to get further ahead.

Turning in a good performance, Anthony (Michael) Petrotto scored two goals for Rushmore Thunder BV. Mark Petereit and Alec Ryman each contributed one goal for Rushmore Thunder BV. TJ (Tyler) Nolan made two assists. Mitzel added one assist for Rushmore Thunder BV.

Colton Jordan and Mike Steska each contributed one goal for Watertown Lakers BV.

Displaying a golden glove, Rushmore Thunder BV's Jason Walter had 26 saves for the win. Watertown Lakers BV's Jordan Hamann made 26 saves and so suffered the loss.
