Austin Lesnar is key with a hat trick, Brookings Rangers PWB goes for offense to win by a wide margin

Winning by a large margin, Brookings Rangers PWB handed a loss to Aberdeen Cougars PWB 9 - 1 at Brookings Red on Sunday. Brookings Rangers PWB racked up two unanswered goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, Brookings Rangers PWB scored five goals to Aberdeen Cougars PWB's one and kept the lead. The Brookings Rangers PWB defense took over in the final period. In the final period Brookings Rangers PWB scored two goals improving its score and winning the game.

Showing off a strong stick, Austin Lesnar earned the hat trick with four goals. Lesnar scored a goal with an assist from Kaden Vugteveen. Brookings Rangers PWB kept up the momentum when Lesnar put the puck between the pipes in the second period. Luc Bouchard and Dylan Park assisted on this goal. During the second period, Lesnar put the puck between the pipes for a shorthanded goal. Jack Mccarty and Kaden Vugteveen assisted on this goal. Lesnar put the biscuit over the goal line with an assist from Dylan Park. Brookings Rangers PWB's Joel Syrstad scored two goals for Brookings Rangers PWB. Brookings Rangers PWB's Syrstad put the biscuit over the goal line in the first period. Riley Jacobsen got the assist on this goal. Syrstad scored a second goal without any assistance.

Brookings Rangers PWB's Royal Grindeland III stopped five out of six shots to get the win. Aberdeen Cougars PWB's Caiden Frericks had only 23 saves on 32 shots on goal to suffer the loss.

Aberdeen Cougars PWB ended the game with a record of 2-9.
