TJ (Tyler) Nolan on fire with a goal as Rushmore Thunder BV scores two goals in the second to get a win

Defenses ruled the day when Rushmore Thunder BV won against Huron All Stars BV 2 - 1 at Rushmore Thunderdome on Friday. Huron All Stars BV scored one goal to take the lead in the first period. Rushmore Thunder BV gained two goals in the second period to jump in to the lead. Huron All Stars BV were not able to answer back. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Rushmore Thunder BV protected its lead, and was the winner.

In the first period, Huron All Stars BV made it happen on the ice when Andy Reimer netted a goal with 4:56 left in the period. Paul Cramer got the assist on the goal. In the second period, Rushmore Thunder BV put points on the board when Alec Ryman netted a goal with 13:39 left in the period. Justin Pederson got the assist on the goal, to make the game tied. Scoring again for Rushmore Thunder BV, TJ (Tyler) Nolan got a goal with an assist from Tristen Leberknight with 6:35 left on the clock, to assume the lead for good. Huron All Stars BV could not overcome this deficit.

TJ (Tyler) Nolan and Alec Ryman each added one goal for Rushmore Thunder BV. Pederson and Leberknight each contributed one assist for Rushmore Thunder BV.

Andy Reimer contributed one goal for Huron All Stars BV.

Showing a super performance, Rushmore Thunder BV's Jason Walter finished with 26 saves for the win. Despite having a huge impact in the game, Huron All Stars BV's Parker Hook turned away 27 shots and so suffered the loss.

Rushmore Thunder BV added to their current win streak of two games and ended the game with a record of 5 wins and 10 losses. Huron All Stars BV finished the game with a record of 6-8.
