Andy Reimer rips a goal while Huron All Stars BV scores go ahead goal in overtime to finish ahead

In overtime, Huron All Stars BV prevailed over Rushmore Thunder BV 3 - 2 at Rushmore on Saturday. Huron All Stars BV tallied up one unanswered goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. In the second, Rushmore Thunder BV outscored their opponents by one goal to tie things up. The end of the second period saw both teams at two goals a piece. Both teams failed to score in the third period so they stayed tied, sending the game into overtime. In the overtime, Huron All Stars BV scored one unanswered goal nabbing the victory.

In the first period, Huron All Stars BV got things going when Justin Ruedebusch lit the lamp with an assist from Dustin Wahlert, with 2:33 left on the clock. In the second period, paving the way for Rushmore Thunder BV, Brooks Mitzel put the puck in the net with assists from Mark Petereit and Haydon Schmidt, with 13:27 left in the period, to make the game tied. Huron All Stars BV put points on the board with their game when Beau Mandel put the puck between the pipes with 5:35 left on the clock. Andy Reimer assisted on the goal, to take the lead and win. Rushmore Thunder BV got things going when Haydon Schmidt netted a goal with assists from Mark Petereit and Jack (Jeffrey) Olson with 0:03 left in the period, to tie up the score. In overtime, Huron All Stars BV's Andy Reimer put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance with 7:21 left in the period, to nab the lead and the victory.

Andy Reimer netted one goal for Huron All Stars BV and also had one assist. Beau Mandel and Justin Ruedebusch each tallied one goal for Huron All Stars BV. Wahlert tallied one assist for Huron All Stars BV.

Haydon Schmidt made one goal for Rushmore Thunder BV and also had one assist. Brooks Mitzel tallied one goal for Rushmore Thunder BV.

Displaying a golden glove, Huron All Stars BV's Parker Hook had 31 saves on 33 shots to get the win, despite being outshot 33 to 25 by Rushmore Thunder BV. Rushmore Thunder BV's Connor Colbath finished with 22 saves for the loss.
