Wyatt Nielsen golden with the hat trick as Sioux Falls Flyers BV shines at shooting to win by a wide margin

In a lopsided victory, Sioux Falls Flyers BV defeated Mitchell Marlins BV 8 - 1 at SFIRC on Saturday. Sioux Falls Flyers BV chalked up one unanswered goal to take the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, Sioux Falls Flyers BV outscored Mitchell Marlins BV five to one and kept the lead. Sioux Falls Flyers BV never looked back. In the final period Sioux Falls Flyers BV scored two unanswered goals cementing the lead and winning the game.

Showing off a strong stick, Wyatt Nielsen got the hat trick with three goals in addition to two points. During the first period, Nielsen got a power play goal. Brandon Appeldorn got the assist on this goal. Piercing though the defense, Nielsen lit the lamp without assistance from team mates in the second period. Sioux Falls Flyers BV kept up the momentum when Nielsen lit the lamp without assistance for a power play goal in the second period. In an excellent performance, Brandon Appeldorn got two goals for Sioux Falls Flyers BV and also three helpers. During the second period, Appeldorn put the biscuit over the goal line for a power play goal with an assist from Wyatt Nielsen. During the third period, Appeldorn put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance.

Displaying a golden glove, Sioux Falls Flyers BV's Isaac Althoff blocked 13 out of 14 shots on goal to earn the win. Mitchell Marlins BV's Weston Gauger had only 48 saves on 56 shots on goal for the loss.
