Patrick Merrigan nails two goals as Watertown Lakers BV scores three goals in the third to get the narrow victory

Patrick Merrigan scored the game-winning goal with 8:37 left in the third period, as Watertown Lakers BV overcame Huron All Stars BV 6 - 4 at Watertown on Friday. Huron All Stars BV scored one goal to take the lead in the first period. In the second period, Watertown Lakers BV outscored Huron All Stars BV three to two and tied for the lead. The end of the second period saw both teams at three goals each. In the third period, Watertown Lakers BV outscored Huron All Stars BV three to one and took the lead to claim the late win.

Watertown Lakers BV's Patrick Merrigan made two goals for Watertown Lakers BV and also had one helper. During the second period, with 14:08 left Merrigan put the biscuit over the goal line with an assist from Colton Jordan. In addition, Merrigan lit the lamp with 8:37 left in the third period. Jamison Spiering assisted on this goal.

Watertown Lakers BV's Adam Arendsee stopped 30 out of 34 shots to take the win. Huron All Stars BV's Parker Hook had just 35 saves on 41 shots and so suffered the loss.

Despite losing Huron All Stars BV went 1-for-4 on power plays, while Watertown Lakers BV went 0-for-2.

Watertown Lakers BV ended their streak of four losing games and ended the game with a record of 8-9. Huron All Stars BV finished the game with a record of 7-11.
