Hanna Mutschelknaus netted the game winner with 4:07 left in the first period, as Sioux Falls Flyers GV won against Watertown Lakers GV 3 - 1 at Bergman Arena on Friday. Sioux Falls Flyers GV outscored Watertown Lakers GV two to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Sioux Falls Flyers GV maintained its lead. Watertown Lakers GV's fate was sealed. In the final period Sioux Falls Flyers GV scored one goal sealing the deal and winning the game.

In the first period, Watertown Lakers GV put points on the board with their game when Tara Hamann put the biscuit over the goal line with 14:30 left in the period. Kaitlyn Muhl assisted on the goal. Coming through for Sioux Falls Flyers GV, Nikia Bradley lit the lamp with assists from Kayla Nack and Alex Bettmeng, with 4:50 left in the period, to tie the game at one to one. Rolling on, Sioux Falls Flyers GV's Hanna Mutschelknaus put the puck between the pipes with assists from Taylor Dawley and Maddie Elkins, with 4:07 left in the period, to go ahead and win. This put Sioux Falls Flyers GV out in front for good. In the third period, Sioux Falls Flyers GV kept up the momentum when Kayla Nack got the puck past goalie Stacey Dunbar with 2:53 left in the period. Maddie Elkins assisted on the goal, to get further in the lead.

Kayla Nack scored one goal for Sioux Falls Flyers GV and also had one helper. Hanna Mutschelknaus and Nikia Bradley each tallied one goal for Sioux Falls Flyers GV. Maddie Elkins had two assists. Dawley and Bettmeng each added one assist for Sioux Falls Flyers GV.

Tara Hamann added one goal for Watertown Lakers GV.

Showing a super performance, Sioux Falls Flyers GV's Brittany Corcoran stopped 11 shots for the win. Watertown Lakers GV's Stacey Dunbar had 16 saves on 19 shots to suffer the loss.
